Job description

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently seeking a 7.5t (Cat C1) driver for one of our clients, a cash & carry business located in the Leith area of Edinburgh.Role Details:

• Start time: 07:30, Monday to Friday.
• Responsibilities include delivering stock to restaurants, cafes, pubs, and other commercial properties. You’ll be using a tail lift, and manual handling of stock is required. Some items, like crates of alcohol, may be heavy, so candidates must be comfortable with lifting.
• Additional duties: daily vehicle checks, paperwork, and covering city centre multi-drop routes.
• This role is a permanent position following a 12 week probation period

Requirements:

• Category C1 licence held for at least 1 year.
• Valid CPC card.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous commercial driving experience is essential, and candidates must be comfortable with lifting heavy items.
• No more than 6 points on your licence (DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements are not accepted due to insurance restrictions).

Pay Rates (PAYE with holiday accrual):

• £12.50 per hour (basic)
• £16.66 per hour (overtime)

Additional Information

• Guaranteed 8 hours of pay per day
• Weekly pay
• Holiday accrual with every shift
