Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, playing a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved right from the start of such a historic project. Work to date has primarily focused on enabling works for site readiness. - Works with the project team to assist in the delivery of the project objectives in line with the project plan.
- Monitors and actively engages in relevant health, safety and wellbeing standards aspects of the project at all stages.
- Assists in the preparation and modifications of the project plans and keeps them updated and relevant over the course of the project/s.
- Collaborates with relevant parties/stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are suitably managed and monitored in line with service excellence.
- Attends and records relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis, including regular site walks.
- Partners with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management and mitigation treatments.
- Assists in tracking project changes and ensuring they are processed and formalised within the agreed timeframes.
- Assists in providing handover documentation prior to practical completion.
- Supports the project and programme management team activities relating to external/third-party client appointments.
- Conducts research, analysis, record-keeping and other supporting activities to ensure timely and accurate information to contribute to delivery of project management operation.
- Identifies solutions to issues that are generally defined (but not always immediately evident) and require problem-solving.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in related (project management, engineering or construction related discipline)/apprenticeship combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
- Project management experience, another professional service and/or fundamental knowledge of construction and industries and understanding of programme, scheduling, procurement and reporting.
- Problem solving and analytical skills for resolving project office issues.
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
