DESCRIPTIONAmazon is seeking a senior leader to lead its University Talent Acquisition organization across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). We are responsible for finding diverse, bar-raising students, delivering a frustration-free candidate experience, and ultimately connecting talent to the most in-demand opportunities at Amazon.This leadership role will be part of Amazon’s University Talent Acquisition leadership team and own the strategy and execution for hiring top university talent for technical and non-technical opportunities across EMEA. The successful candidate will lead a high-caliber recruiting team and manage both the strategic and day-to-day responsibilities for hiring top emerging talent from universities and business schools. This leader will be responsible for:
- Leading a regional team of 80+ across seven countries, including attraction and sourcing strategy across the region (25+ countries).
- Managing relationships and developing Amazon’s employer brand at target schools to hire 4K+ students (FTEs and interns).
- Collaborating with global teams to ensure a consistent candidate experience across the organization.
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with senior partners and stakeholders. This is critical to effectively manage hiring demand and talent placement across Amazon.
- Working with in-country recruiting teams to establish local business needs across all campus hiring and to build the plan to execute against this.
- Supporting HR and Talent Acquisition (TA) leaders in in the delivery of demand for student talent – by profile and geography – and ensuring quality of hire through accurate profile definition and aligned assessment methods.
- Developing and communicating progress metrics to senior stakeholders
- Driving monthly and quarterly business reviews, narratives, and email status updates to keep stakeholders informed and drive meaningful discussion that leads to action.
- Innovating to launch new initiatives or programs to support student talent at Amazon

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years of recruiting and/or HR experience
- 7+ years’ experience in directly leading teams, including other leading other leaders
- Demonstrated success in developing strategy, driving process improvement, and delivering results for key stakeholders
- Experience measuring program impact against pre-defined success metrics, and proven ability to employ data-driven, transparent decision making
- Proven ability to cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders, peers, and senior management
- Proven ability to influence with strong written work product
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in building and running a campus/MBA hiring strategy
- Independent problem solver who can set priorities and make high-quality decisions quickly
- Proven ability to influence without authority and support/represent cross-functional teams across levels, geographies, and cultures
- Self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit with an understanding of how to use data and calculated risk-taking to drive innovative change
- Excellent communication skills, paired with sound business judgment and ability to see around corners
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment
- Second European language
