Train stations & bus stops, gyms, restaurants and more.This is a key high impact role within the UK finance team through the production and analysis of high quality performance management and client financial information. The role holder will utilise sales and client deal pipeline data to inform our financial outlook across our product set and highlight trends and opportunities for business growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the business with financial analysis and commercial insight into performance across segments and platforms; providing financial commentary on performance and presenting regular performance reports to the senior leaders, driving corrective action and performance improvement opportunities as appropriate.
  • Drive, influence and implement business sales strategy using financial and non-financial insight, providing thought leadership to the UK Private team, including business and product heads.
  • Support on the creation of core financial reports: Weekly Sales Packs, Monthly Sales Management Report, Quarterly Business reviews, Monthly Management forums, Financial Outlooks, Medium Term Plans, targeting setting and performance reviews
  • Support Business and Product heads with reviewing monthly outlook, considering pipeline deals and outflow rates
  • Support Team Leaders in carrying out client book reviews with Private Bankers through the provision of detailed book review packs, covering asset accumulation, revenue production. Following on from this, agree with the Team Leader a clear set of objectives/actions to improve performance and follow up on agreed actions
  • Supporting bankers in the creation of client plans and maintaining momentum on these through driving delivery against agreed actions
  • Supporting business and product heads with analysis on bankers book and product mix with projection into KPIs based on current pipeline and actuals
  • Engaging with bankers/team leaders in order to understand pipeline deals, stage of transaction, next steps and identify opportunities where senior management support may improve outcome
  • Support the Sales Management Director in developing and implementing client acquisition/prospecting strategy for Private Bank UKPB
  • Provide ideas on new sales initiatives implement sales initiatives and track the performance of those sales initiatives and recommend next steps as applicable
  • Run central processes across PB to support KPI performance reviews on a half year and full year basis to ensure consistency

To be successful as a Sales Business Manager you should have experience in:

  • Excel and PowerPoint, with capabilities in data manipulation, visualisation, reporting, and presenting to senior audiences.
  • The financial services industry, particularly with regulated products and services for high net worth clients and/or asset management.
  • Commercial mindset with a deep interest in performance drivers.
  • Confident and comfortable presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders to drive performance.
  • Highly organised and disciplined, with attention to detail.

  • Development and implementation of business unit financial strategies, plans and budgets, using insights to evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Development of financial models to forecast future performance, assess investment opportunities, and evaluate financial risks for business units, and to analyse the impact of business decisions on financial performance and provision of recommendations.  .
  • Cross functional collaboration to provide financial insights and guidance to business unit stakeholders.
  • Identification of opportunities and implementation of financial process improvements that streamline financial operations.
  • Support to business units in identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, including provision of training and guidance to business units on financial risk management and compliance practices.
  • Analysis and presentation of financial data to provide insights into business performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
