We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do. Our primary goals are to help advertisers, including multi-billion dollar brand owners, meet their business objectives using the most effective advertising campaign solutions to reach their target audiences.To support this mission, AIRS is investing heavily in developing strategic self-service applications and recommendation systems that improve the productivity of our internal teams, there by helping them scale to deliver personalized recommendations to our advertising clients. We are seeking a talented Software Development Manager to help us scale the delivery of advertising campaign recommendations to our advertising clients through API and UI-based solutions.Key job responsibilities
– You will manage and mentor a high performing team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment, conducting performance reviews, and promoting professional growth.
– You will define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for our products and services, while collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams to align on requirements and priorities.
– You will review architecture design and overseeing software development of highly scalable systems.
– You will communicate technical concepts, project status, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
– You will own end to end software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and promote continuous innovation to enhance the security, performance, and scalability of our cloud-based solutions.A day in the life
As the manager of the team you own vision and mission of the team. You will attend daily team stand ups, weekly operational call hand-offs or other required meetings with stakeholders regarding short-term/long-term projects. You will weekly meet with your team to discuss their career goals, and passions. You will lead operational excellence initiatives. You will partner with your Sr. SDEs and other tenured engineers to build and design architectures that will scale for the long term. You will provide guidance to senior leaders on long-term technical strategies and approaches to solving problems within your domain.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 3+ years of engineering team management experience
– 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
– 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
– Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
– Experience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
– Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
