US Federal leaders engaged in true cloud computing projects overwhelmingly turn to the power and speed of Amazon Web Services (AWS) when they want to serve citizens more effectively, achieve scientific breakthroughs, reach broader constituents, and put more of their time and resources into their core missions.AWS is hiring a Program Manager to drive strategic planning, process improvement and execution on key projects for the AWS US Federal business. This role supports the VP of US Federal and the US Federal Strategy team, which is responsible for strategic planning and execution for the business. The US Federal Strategy team ensures all initiatives are carried out with precision, from high-level strategy formulation to the day-to-day management of executive engagements, communications, and special projects.Key job responsibilities
– Design and drive ongoing operational review of the US Federal Strategy team. This involves envisioning current state improvements and developing future state operating models.
– Design and manage processes to develop strategic objectives, budgets and execution plans for key customer programs and initiatives.
– Lead the project management of strategic initiatives. This will include identifying new mechanism opportunities, leveraging data and prioritizing based on goals, business needs, and business impact.This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen.About the team

Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
