VFS Global, the world’s largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide, We are Hiring an IT Manager- Infrastructure to manage all IT related support at all VAC’s in globe (Based in Ottawa) with overall responsibility of the unit’s efficiency & productivity whilst ensuring compliance to all processes.Areas of responsibility and brief description
- To undertake responsibility for IT support to business (Infra and App) for the respective region including Regional Roll outs, FMS, Application co-ordination, IT Operations etc.
- To ensure overall responsibility for IT Applications support for the region
- Overall IT Infrastructure and IT application support for the Region
- Provide support analysis giving optimal solutions for support
- Ensure highest uptime of applications and overall delivery of software solutions for new projects by working seamlessly with various IT members.
- Management of IT Infrastructure of highest uptime
- Support & overall delivery of software solutions for the region
- Project management for various IT & business projects
- Vendor management
- IT & Project Budget preparations & tracking
- Ensure control of IT budgets for the region & operate in innovative ways to ensure cost-effectiveness & also maintain standard of service
- IT governance – Policy enforcement
- Corporate IT function – Audit, quality assurance, documentation etc.
- Manage the Internal reporting
- Client Management (Internal) & overall support function
- IT Procurement in co-ordination with central IT team and implementation
- Judicious use of natural resources
- Shall adhere to the environment health and safety policy/objectives and guidelines of the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
This is a full time with Health benefits. Not a remote role. Occasional travel to other Cities (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Edmonton)Experience
- Must have Education background in IT and 7-9 years of experience, having worked on End User IT Equipment setup and management including Windows 10, Windows 11, Group Policies, Security Compliance, Intune, SCCM/Microsoft Defender
- Experience with IT Support calls tracking and documentation
- Strong business communication skills and attention to detail, with emphasis on delivery timelines and expectation management
- Ability to handle and resolving IT issues remotely and direct client facing
- Experience in a start-up organization / project where end to end IT Scoping & implementation was executed (Infrastructure, custom developed application as well as packaged)
- Ability to assess and handle Inventory management
- Documentation skills including managing Standard Operating Procedures, Service Improvement measures.
- Experience in handling multiple IT Projects and IT Set ups
- Experience of working across multiple time zones and supporting multiple geographies will be advantageous.
Education: Minimum: BE – IT/MCA or global equivalent degree
Additional: Post graduate (MBA) or global equivalent degree, IT – Technical certification (GNIIT, Microsoft, ITIL, PMP, etc.)Knowledge & Key Skills:
- Adaptability and presence of mind to handle complaints and escalations
- Ability to Innovate and enhance procedures and methods to increase productivity & cost effectiveness
