Description and RequirementsWork Location: HybridPosition Type: Contract, 3 Months( Higher potential for extension)Location: Mississauga, ONCompensation Range: 60$ to 70$/hrOur multinational retail client is looking to hire a Business Analyst III.The Business Analyst III is responsible for establishing and documenting processes, gathering requirements, conducting translation from business to machine learning model requirements, and curating a plan to ensure and uphold a high-quality level of deliverables from technical teams. The successful candidate will also identify process improvement opportunities from idea to conception.Responsibilities

  • Understand, analyze, and document business processes and workflows.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and thorough requirements to downstream technical stakeholders to enable their success.
  • Maintain knowledge of all main data sources, classifications, etc. for the data used in the analysis. Explore and utilize these data sources for analysis purposes.
  • Critically review data requests and data quality to determine how best to provide the analysis that will support business and stakeholder objectives
  • Engage with external stakeholders to uncover analytical insights, in addition to, understanding what insights, reports, or data will enable them to make business decisions.
  • Assist with understanding tasks and timelines to help facilitate project planning.
  • Guide internal team members in following the outlined requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience
  • Ability to map out complex operational processes
  • Ability to analyze data and provide business with recommendations based on trends and opportunities highlighted
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, must be extremely detail oriented
  • Previous experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or agile environment
  • Previous experience of preparing data for machine learning models, primarily textual

Nice to have

  • Retail or tax/finance background is an asset but not mandatory
  • Experience with SQL, specifically BigQuery, is an asset
