Join us.Data Scientist III, SEM AnalyticsWe are building a world-class growth team that combines a passion for travel, deep marketing expertise together with cutting-edge technology and data science to connect more travelers with our platform and help them find the perfect place to stay.We are hiring a Data Scientist – Analytics III in the SEM team to drive initiatives that accelerate our global Search Engine Marketing growth specifically around improving users’ web and mobile app experience. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, SEM Product Management and work closely with function leads in the Product, Mobile, Analytics, Strategy and Marketing technology teams to inform our strategic agenda and continuously improve our execution.What you will do
- Support landing page testing efforts for Expedia Group portfolio of brands in SEM
- Manage the SEM landing page optimization plan
- Building landing page variants for testing
- Manipulate data sets using Python / SQL to identify and prioritize optimization opportunities
- Create critical reporting dashboards in Tableau
- Partner with Google, Bing and other search engines to ensure Expedia Group is an early adopter of all product alphas and betas
- Deliver impactful analysis regarding key market forces and apply analytics to present tangible business problems/actions
- Communicate complex analytical topics in a clean & simple way to team
- Automate and/or streamline repetitive processes with the help of Product to improve individual and team productivity
- Document processes used across various projects
- Maintain internal/external relationships with partners (Google/Bing), Product, Analytics, Data science and SEO teams on strategic initiatives.
Who you are:Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree with strong analytical focus (Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, etc)
- Minimum 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Strong analytical skills, including data manipulation, financial analysis and processing large amounts of data to understand trends
- Excellence in implementation, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience in quantitative, mathematics, statistics, science or other fields is preferred
- Familiarity with Google datasets and cloud platform is a plus
- Familiarity with Google Ads / Bing Ads API a plus
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services a plus
- Experience in SEM, online advertising, paid search or e-commerce is a plus but not required
