QA Inspector

Description

Robert Half is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join a team in Goleta, California. This role involves a range of responsibilities including data input, supplier communication, and inventory checks. This position is within the industry of Purchase & Sales and requires proficiency in various software systems such as 3M and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct various inspection tasks, including mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluid testing of incoming inventory.

• Maintain accurate inspection logs and follow established procedures to ensure quality standards are met.

• Generate and document nonconforming material reports for any items that do not meet required specifications.

• Utilize general inspection tools and equipment to perform testing and measurements.

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assess material specifications.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inspection results.

  Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field (experience in quality assurance is a plus, but not required).

• Basic understanding of general inspection tools and techniques (training will be provided).

• Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
