You’ll be part of a supportive team that will provide you with the training and development needed to excel in this fulfilling role.Your Role Every individual has unique needs, and your care will reflect that. From assisting clients with daily routines like getting up or going to medical appointments, to offering full-day care, your role will be varied and meaningful. What matters most is your ability to connect with people and handle both the emotional and physical aspects of care.Key Responsibilities:
- Must have paediatric experience
- Administer basic life support for paediatrics
- Use oxygen via nasal cannula
- Perform PEG feeding
- Operate nebulisers
- Conduct oral suctioning
- Administer medication
- Comfortably handle situations involving unwell babies, including potential resuscitation if necessary

With access to both online and classroom training, you’ll be equipped to handle specific complex care needs. You may also have the opportunity to study for a relevant NVQ qualification. Depending on your client, you’ll either work independently or as part of a team. Additionally, if you’re available, you could support more than one client.Before starting, you’ll meet your client and their family, and throughout your time with us, a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager will be on hand for guidance.
