GXM is looking to hire a Data Scientist for innovation programs supporting our clients. This is a full-time exempt position that can be conducted remotely with short-term travel to both stateside and international locations as needed to support activities as determined by the project. The Data Scientist should possess expertise in Python, machine learning/AI, and large language models or other appropriate techniques to provide data analysis of items such as:  

  • Taxonomy 
  • Ranking methods for use during projects evaluation process 
  • Assessment of evaluator performance, trends, and consistency across the project’s evaluation process 
  • Weak signals 
  • Technology trends over different years 
  • Varying submission data sets

Requirements

 U.S. Citizenship required  

  • Active Secret Clearance or above required OR undergo Baseline Personnel Security Screening
  • Ability to apply collaboration skills to work with teams and management, ensuring challenge outcomes are measurable over time. 
  • Experience in producing and delivering data analysis reports with findings from SQL,  Microsoft Excel, and other software using data visualization tools. 
  • Experience in technology development, innovation, or other related areas of STEM. 
  • Knowledge of current emerging technology topics. 
  • Understanding of transition obstacles for technology adoption. 
  • Experience with statistics and probability, to guide data analysis and exploration, and check the validity of data analysis. 
  • Demonstrated experience and competence in programming, to create automated workflows that process large volumes of data. 
  • Experience in critical thinking, with the ability to understand data, identify patterns, and extract actionable insights. 
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. 

Desired Skills and Qualifications  

  • Experience working within mission-driven organizations and with defense end-users. 
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) (or equivalent) certification.
