These teams utilize a centralized hiring model where they combine their hiring efforts offering candidates the opportunity to choose which team to join.Below are the teams that work together to hire Product Managers at Mapbox:– We deliver a growing suite of Search products that range from APIs, SDKs, and data products to customers in virtually every industry. Our products help GM and Toyota drivers find the best restaurant to stop at during their roadtrip; power food and grocery orders on Instacart; and enable large business intelligence platforms, like and , to offer advanced geospatial analytics capabilities that inform their customers’ business-critical decisions.– We build the product suite of APIs, SDKs, and data products that power experiences like delivery tracking, scenic and adventure routing for and , custom RV experiences, and automotive-grade navigation in our app for , , and many more.What You’ll DoAs a Product Manager II at Mapbox, you will partner with a passionate group of globally distributed engineers, external customers, and internal stakeholders like Sales, Product Marketing, Legal, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance to make customers wildly successful in pursuit of outsized business growth.In this role, you can expect to:Define and execute end-to-end vision and strategy for your product.Conduct analysis to inform your product roadmap and prioritize product backlog.Work with your engineering team(s) and the broader organization to explore and implement new use cases for your product that address customer pain points and unlock new revenue opportunities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product goals and delivery phases with overall business objectives.Regularly engage our customers via video conversations, emails, and in person visits (10% travel) to understand their needs, as well as validate our proposed solutions.Own pricing and packaging of your product as a standalone SKU (including sales enablement, marketing, customer trials, partnership opportunities).Become the expert and point of contact of your product for internal and external questions, feedback, and requests.What We Believe are Important Traits for This RoleCurrently located in the UK.5+ years as a Product Manager: You have seen multiple products (API, SDK, or Data) through a full lifecycle of discovery, development, launch, and adoption in the B2B space.Customer focus: You care deeply about your customer’s problems with a keen eye towards design and user experience.An analytical approach: You have strong data analytics skills and always use data to properly evaluate the quality of your product, as well as guide your next steps.Prioritization: You have clear rationale behind the tradeoffs you make and strive to deliver immediate/tangible value to customers.Strong written and verbal communication skills: You can communicate about complex ideas concisely to a wide audience (e.g. FAQs and business cases for your roadmap).Ownership: You can develop and execute a plan based on high level direction for feature or product development.Invent & Simplify: You drive toward the simplest possible solution that drives the most value for customers.Technical Chops: You understand and can explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Go-to-market experience: You have taken your product to market owning the pricing and packaging strategy.Nice-to-haves: Experience working with AI/ML teams and passion for the navigation and search domain space.What We ValueIn addition to , which are not unique to this position and are necessary for Mapbox leaders:We value high-performing creative individuals who dig into problems and opportunities.We believe in individuals being their whole selves at work.
