As a full-time cover supervisor, your responsibilities include:
- Keeping an eye on and running the classroom when the teacher is not there
- Ensuring that every student is following the assigned tasks and staying on task
- Assisting pupils who might need more assistance
- Establishing a fast rapport with personnel and students
- Planning, marking, or active instruction are NOT necessary
To be successful in the Cover Supervisor role, you must:
- Must live within the UK and be authorised to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (willing to get one)
- Good reading and numeracy abilities. Math and English proficiency at the GCSE level of C/NVQ3 or above
- Strong communication abilities to interact with kids, parents, and other staff members in writing and vocally
- Capacity to function as a team member
- A comprehension and consciousness of child protection
- Proficient use of technology and knowledge on how to best utilise it to enhance instruction
