Aircon Service ManagerLocation: Stockport, SK6Salary Circa £40k – £48k depending on relevant experienceFull time / PermanentSalary: Based on relevant experienceWe are recruiting an Air Conditioning (Aircon) Service Manager on behalf of an established, market-leading organisation. This company offers a complete solution to its customers, from design and planning to installation, service, and maintenance throughout the UK.This Aircon Service Manager position is responsible for overseeing the operations and service delivery.Key Responsibilities of an Aircon Service ManagerOperational Management

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure that all service calls and maintenance tasks are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Scheduling: Plan and schedule service technicians’ daily work, balancing workload and customer needs.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure technicians have what they need for their jobs.

Customer Service

  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls or visits to ensure customer satisfaction after service is rendered.

Technical Support

  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to service technicians, helping them resolve complex issues.
  • Training: Train and mentor service technicians to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and solve technical issues that technicians encounter in the field.

Financial Management

  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the service department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Revenue Generation: Monitor and drive the financial performance of the service department, identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Cost Control: Manage expenses and ensure efficient use of resources to maximize profitability.

Safety and Compliance

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect technicians and customers.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, ensuring proper documentation for compliance and reference.

Team Management

  • Hiring and Staffing: Recruit, hire, and retain skilled service technicians.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to technicians.
  • Team Building: Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among the service staff.

Strategic Planning

  • Service Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the service department and implement strategic changes.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends and customer needs to adapt service offerings accordingly.
  • Growth Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to grow the service department and expand the customer base.
