Electrician – Huntsville, ONAbout the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the Ontario Electrical Code, government regulations, and company safety policies.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
• Troubleshoot and work on A-B PLCs, AC/DC drives, and other electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Prioritize and complete work orders, especially during equipment shutdowns.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure clear, legible documentation.
• Lead and collaborate with the team to meet project goals and uphold safety standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and electronic system faults.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Certification as a 309A Industrial Electrician.
• Electrical Engineering Technologist with 309A certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or scissor lifts.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in computer usage and record-keeping.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work on shifts.
• Comfortable working in environments exposed to noise and temperature fluctuations.

• Complete projects within budget.
• Ensure safety compliance.
• Monitor and track equipment availability and efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve electronic and electrical system issues to maintain smooth operations.
