This position can be located in one of our Canadian locations.This is a integral position within our organization where you’ll provide active support to our Project and Construction teams and ensure projects are delivered using best industry practices. The Project Scheduler will work with project teams to develop logically linked and detailed project schedules for all phases for Renewables projects Wind, Solar, Gas, Hydro and across a portfolio of large-scale renewable energy construction projects ($100M+).Your experience and coordination is integral across the project life cycle, as well as your collaborative work with Lead Developers, Project Managers, and Supply Chain partners to deliver predictable project outcomes and successful project execution.WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work with project teams to develop logically linked and detailed project schedules for all phases for Renewables projects Wind, Solar, Gas, Hydro and mid-cap to large capital projects.
  • Create Schedules that incorporate all Cps, Engineering, Long lead items and EPC schedules, will include financing and other inputs as required.
  • Review contractor project schedules and integrate them into a comprehensive overall project schedule
  • Ensure that Project Control Standards and associated best practices and tools are utilized in scheduling
  • Utilize scheduling for LDs, LC, MC, SC, COD Change order Management.
  • Facilitate/Participate in Interactive Planning Sessions (IPS) with project teams to identify logic and potential risks to achieving project schedule completion.
  • Work with the project teams and EPC Contractors to progress, analyze, and provide accurate schedule performance reports during all phases of assigned projects
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Continuous improvement of internal Project Execution and Project Management standards, processes and procedures to optimize project delivery.
  • Leadership and fostering development of a high-skill, high-performance Project Controls team.
  • The position will appeal to an experienced, well-rounded Scheduler who thrives in dynamic and collaborative team environment and has interest in being part of an ambitious build-out of renewable energy assets.
  • Provide input to and collaborate with other members of the Project Controls group to develop concise, accurate reporting for projects and site project portfolios

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Scheduler for all phases of small to mid-sized site-based projects 3+ large mid-Cap Capital projects.
  • Experience within the Coal, Gas, Wind, Solar Hydro or Petrochemical, Refining industries
  • Experience with CPM (critical path method) scheduling and resource loading
  • Experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Smartsheet or other “web” based scheduling tools
  • Experience in engineering or direct craft experience

Additional Requirements

  • Permanent location preference is in the Calgary, AB
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30% of the time between Calgary USA, Australia
