With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Resilience Team in British Columbia.As an Environmental Project Manager, direct experience dealing with Contaminated Sites, Site Remediation and Monitoring will be required. As well, experience with the coordination and management of environmental site assessment projects including Phase I ESA’s, Phase II ESA’s, risk assessments, and remediation projects is required. Using both provincial and federal regulatory frameworks, diligent interpretation of environmental data, the comparison of sample results to applicable standards/guidelines and data QA/QC, along with industry best practices is expected.The successful candidate will join a growing team to provide project management, technical support, and leadership. The Environmental Project Manager will support and mentor intermediate and junior staff with a focus on health and safety, team collaboration, high quality work, innovation, efficiency, and focused client relationships.The Environmental Project Manager is a hybrid role with the option to work remote or at one of our Arcadis offices. The scope of your role will include the following.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical resources, evaluate and mitigate project risks, and prepare and review technical reports.
- Manage and direct technical tasks and field programs for contaminated site investigations, feasibility studies, remediation design and implementation, hydrogeological studies, monitoring programs.
- Develop and maintain client relationships including ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives and scope.
- Adhere to and support corporate policy and procedures; maintain quality, health and safety, and performance management systems.
- Manage and mentor intermediate and junior staff.
- Provide support of ongoing business pursuits and environmental projects in various sectors including; oil and gas; mining; power; infrastructure; brownfields and industrial re-development and government.
Key Attributes/Requirements:
- Individuals with working knowledge and experience in environmental compliance and associated guidelines/legislation for provincial and federal requirements.
- Direct experience working at contaminated sites such as: industrial facilities, refineries/bulk plants/gas stations, military properties, commercial processing plants, federal government properties, airports, mines, power plants, wind farms and solar facilities.
- Experience working for clients in industrial, development, and federal and provincial government sectors.
- Proven ability to design and implement environmental site assessments; analyze data, write reports, provide quality control and assurance and present results to clients. This includes experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests, and Statement of Qualifications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills that facilitate detailed planning, timely decision-making, and efficient implementation are required for this role. A valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel to project sites and meetings is required. Individuals with eligibility for a professional designation in British Columbia are preferred.Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of direct experience with respect to Contaminated Sites and Site Remediation.
Candidates must have direct experience within the fields of Engineering, Geoscience, and Technology with a focus on Environmental Site Assessments, remediation, risk management and environmental monitoring, and must be able to sign off reports and be in good standing in accordance with professional association(s).Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best. The salary range for this position is $78,000-95,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
