Job DescriptionCome help shape the future of the LEGO Group’s storytellingWe are looking for an experienced communications expert to join us on a fixed-term contract and play a key role in shaping how we communicate about our business, our values, and our brands – with children as our role models!This position will play a leading role in shaping communications for the New Business elements of the LEGO Group’s portfolio, helping take the brand into new, strategically-important areas including entertainment, tech-led products, gaming and more.This opportunity is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally with an early 2025 start.There is no relocation assistance provided for this opportunity.Core Responsibilities:Design, develop and implement strategic global communication plans and campaigns to support our portfolio.Collaborate with a broad network of partners across the business to deliver critical campaigns across the Owned, Earned, Shared & Paid (OESP) marketing mix – setting global direction and working closely with an extensive community of PR colleagues in international markets.Play a leading role in helping bring the LEGO Group’s brand and mission to new audiences and spaces, helping future-proof the brand in the years ahead.Work closely with colleagues in the Corporate Brand Communications team to help develop juniors, and support senior members of the team deliver against critical communications workstreams in key passions areas for our audiences, including gaming, entertainment and launching new IPs.Grow relations with media in key markets to help promote our products and campaigns, proactively seeking opportunities to further our work through external communications.Using critical thinking to help track campaign performance via media monitoring and a range of measurement tools, including using data and analytics to inform future campaign planning and elevating our work.Play your part in our team succeedingYou will be a key member of a high-performing, fast-paced communications team who are passionate about delivering exceptional quality work, innovating, learning, and caring for each other!The role sits within the growing Brand & Portfolio Communications team with plenty of room to help craft our ambition and plans and increase the influence of Earned PR across the wider business.Day-to-day you will be leading on shaping the strategic global communications plans across our New Business product portfolio working into a Director & Head of team, collaborating closely with internal partners across product development, marketing, our internal creative agency and working closely with a global PR community network.Do you have what it takes?The ideal candidate has experience at either an earned agency (PR, social, comms) or an in-house Corporate Communications/Consumer team.You have worked with media relations in a constantly evolving media landscape and gained a detailed understanding of earned media channels and how to establish and build partner relationships.Your superpowers will include:An experienced and accomplished communicator with experience working for diverse, global companies.Strong background creating and leading creative external communications campaigns and proving their effectiveness of reaching audiences and meeting strategic objectives.Insight into the entertainment space, including the key brands, franchises and IPs across the worlds of Gaming, Film & TV seriesVery strong organizational capabilities to navigate leading a variety of projects and key campaigns simultaneously with a keen attention to detail.Strong project management and execution skills and ability to drive with high attention to quality and detail.A passion for working with earned/brand communications and storytelling, brand protection, and a constant drive to elevate the impact of Earned within a major global business and broad marketing spectrum.The ability to network and navigate in a large global organization.Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude to navigate challenges and hurdles in Earned workstreams.An understanding of the role Earned social can play alongside PR – with general experience of how influencers and social channels can support campaigns.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.Preferred experience with event management.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
