The Services division is a critical component of our operations, focussing on enhancing the lifecycle value of our products through various service offerings including consulting & advisory services, maintenance & repair, spare parts, commissioning & installation, software & digital solutions, training & education, sustainability & cybersecurity.As a Business Development Manager within our Services Division, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, directly engaging with new and existing customers to promote and sell our full suite of services. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets by building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, and providing tailored service solutions.Responsibilities:Sales Execution:

  • Develop and execute a sales plan for new business by researching, creating and following up on a strategic list of target accounts in focus sectors for field services.
  • Proactively self-generate a pipeline of new business opportunities and manage their progress diligently through CRM (Salesforce) to a successful conclusion.
  • Understand customer requirements and propose service solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for service contracts.

Service Promotion:

  • Seek new and/or maintain & expand existing long term service contracts with former cap-ex customers to help drive recurring revenue.
  • Develop digital Eco-care & Eco-struxture service plan opportunities to help build long term partnerships and create predictable recurring revenue.
  • Develop new consultancy business opportunities to help drive a fly wheel of future pull through business.
  • Promote the full range of Schneider Electric’s service portfolio, including maintenance, automation, energy management, and digital solutions.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of our service solutions in enhancing efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

Field Operations:

  • Regular travel to customer sites for meetings across the UK
  • Ensure all customer interactions align with Schneider Electric’s standards for customer service and satisfaction.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Regularly report on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends to the sales management.
  • Use CRM tools to manage leads, track sales progress, and analyse sales data.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with colleagues in sales, technical support and project managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events to stay updated with product knowledge and market trends.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent presentation and customer service skills.
  • Self-starter – highly motivated & results driven.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and service solutions, with a customer-first approach.
  • Broad experience of working in a new business role
  • Able to communicate complex and technical issues clearly and succinctly.
  • Key understanding of sales processes and customer behaviours
  • Consistent track record in customer engagement, pipeline building, opportunity qualification, deal management, deal closure & handover
