You will play a key part is setting up a completely new team to visit projects National to ensure they are being delivered safely and meeting the required standard.This position is ideal for a technical specialist with a solid construction or design background, capable of demonstrating expertise in the field.More about your roleYou will support the Head of Safety Quality Assurance in developing procedures to ensure compliance with CDM regulations, project delivery management, subcontractor oversight, and site management practices, while considering customer and third-party needs. Additionally, you will gather feedback from site inspections on quality, service, and non-conformance, compiling monthly reports for the Head of Safety Quality Assurance. You’ll conduct internal audits on compliance, attend pre-commencement and progress meetings, and ensure all CDM and health & safety information is up to date and properly recorded.This is a region based role, you will be covering Scotland + Central North.For more information please download our job profile available on our website.Essential criteria
- You should have proven experience and expertise in building construction, design, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment, particularly within public sector housing or other public buildings, from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015, relevant health and safety legislation, building laws, construction practices, and the Building Regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive, proactive relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
More about youIf you are well-versed in construction practices or a building trade then this role could be for you! To be successful you should have demonstrable experience in building construction, design, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment, particularly in public sector housing or other public buildings, from inception to completion. You must be able to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. You’ll need to engage, inform, and influence various audiences, both verbally and in writing.You should be comfortable working with multi-disciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors. A strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015, health and safety legislation, building construction, and Building Regulations is essential, along with experience in the Principal Designer role.
