Overview
The Psychologist, Ph.D. (Non-Academic) is responsible for providing age-appropriate clinical services to patients; assisting in training of medical students and residents; providing supervision for psychology practicum students, interns and post-doctoral fellows; participating in departmental and other meetings; maintaining records; participating in the Department?s rotating on-call coverage; and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
1. Provides age-appropriate clinical services to patients of Children?s Hospital and others as appropriate; clinical services provided include, but are not limited to: psychological and behavioral assessments, consultation, therapeutic interventions, and participation on clinical service teams. (*)2. Assists in training medical students and residents through conferences, formal lectures, rounds and individual consultations and electives.3. Supervises clinical services provided by practicum students, psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows.4. Participates in the formal training of interns and post-doctoral fellows by presenting lectures as assigned.5. Maintains records on all patients served in compliance with regulatory standards.6. Participate in meetings and serves on committees with Children?s Hospital and the community as appropriate.7. Participates in Departmental rotating on-call coverage after hours.8. Participates in research as appropriate.9. Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDPh.D. degree in clinical or school psychology from an accredited university. A pediatric psychology internship and post-doctoral training or experience in pediatric psychology is highly desirable. Must obtain Ohio Psychology license when eligible and within 6 months from your date of hire.
