OUR VALUES IN ACTION●Care and Compassion ●Quality and Teamwork ●Dignity and Respect ●Openness, Honesty and ResponsibilityAcute / Community settingOccupational TherapyThis post provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic therapist to join the OT service within the East locality based at the Knoll community hospital in Duns.Experience in providing occupational therapy to orthopaedic, neurology, medicine of the elderly, acute medical and community patient groups is essential.The post will involve working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat patients with the aim of maximising independence and facilitating prompt discharge.Additionally there will be the opportunity to work with the Berwickshire Home First service to provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation support for patients at home and to help prevent hospital admission.Opportunities for personal development (CPD) are encouraged with access to in-service training programme. For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.***PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early***NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
