Post-doc position in Using preference models

Job title:

Post-doc position in Using preference models

Company

Job description

Offer DescriptionThe DECIDE team, part of Lab-STICC and the Data Science Department (DSD) at IMT Atlantique, aims to leverage synergies between decision support and data science to address scientific, industrial, and societal challenges emerging from decision-making problems in complex systems (environment, transportation, energy, social networks, healthcare, defense). DSD and DECIDE work closely with IMT Atlantique’s Département Interdisciplinaire de Sciences Sociales to integrate human factors into solving complex decision-making problems.Within this framework, we are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for an innovative project focused on using preference models to better assess the workload of individuals living with multimorbidity and to recommend improvements in health services. You will contribute to the development of a new methodology using preference models to evaluate the workload of individuals living with multimorbidity and to recommend interventions. This is a unique approach, as these mathematical models have never been applied to multimorbidity research or used with a large population of decision-makers. The research combines patient-centered perspectives with advanced preference-learning algorithms to design solutions tailored to South Africa, which are transferable to European contexts. This interdisciplinary approach spans computer science, mathematics, anthropology, sociology, and health economics. By grouping patients based on their preferences and linking them to demographic factors, the project aims to propose specific, economically viable solutions for each subgroup.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Medical sciences » Health sciences Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsYou have quantitative and qualitative data processing skills.
