Actalent is Hiring Back Office Medical Assistant Floaters!Job DescriptionThe Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. The role supports the clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. This floating employee will be working in various offices to support in either the MA role or a dedicated lab role.Responsibilities

  • Provide quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision.
  • Support clinician and care management teams in chronic disease management and patient examinations.
  • Perform laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
  • Float between various offices as needed to support medical assisting or laboratory roles.
  • Communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
  • Assess emergencies and act accordingly.
