Overview:Otter Products is currently hiring for Sales & Business Development Manager to be based remotely in Canada in either Ontario or British Columbia province.As a Sales & Business Development Manager you will be responsible for strategically managing assigned accounts and identifying and growing new business opportunities, accountable for delivering revenue and/or profitability targets. In addition to selling, you will be responsible for activities such as forecasting and budget management.To succeed in this role, you must possess strong decision-making abilities, business acumen, and analytical skills.   • New Business Development, Core Sales, and Account Management
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy, leveraging Regional / National partnerships to build a pipeline of new business prospects prioritizing growth and positive relationships with both current and prospective customers.
  • Conduct high-level research to strategically develop and present effective sales solutions to prospective customers/distribution partners that speak to the needs and concerns of the Customers’ objectives, while establishing and fostering strong customer relationships to negotiate and close business deals.
  • Responsible for account management of assigned accounts and new accounts including but not limited to managing high level relationships, leading strategy relating to assortment management (including mix, sku count, ranking, etc.), contract management/program management, and maintaining competitive insights to identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities to drive growth within existing account(s).
  • Develop and recommend sales strategies including product pricing, solution-oriented selling, promotions, and others to drive revenue growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate and leverage knowledge of Customers’ current needs and business processes to advocate internally on behalf of the Customer to work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the Customer’s needs and objectives are being fulfilled in the planning and execution stages of product development and commercialization.
  • Manage the planning of sales meetings and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations.
  • Partner with appropriate sales leadership for P&L (Profit & Loss) awareness with responsibility for P&L inputs.
  • Marketing/Market Development Funds/ Promotions Management
  • Responsible for managing market development funds (MDF) funding buckets and negotiating MDF programs with assigned account(s).
  • Identify opportunities for account or channel specific promotions to increase in sales revenue, including determining investment/ROI expectations, and working with sales operations to review effectiveness of promotional investments.
  • Work with brand marketing to develop and execute marketing strategies, including product placement.
  • Responsible for seasonal planning and execution
  • Responsible for events planning with internal teams, including attending events as appropriate.
  • Forecasting/Planning
  • Manage forecasting/demand planning inputs with team (with team support/standalone)
  • Manage seasonal planning and NPI/NSI replenishment forecast planning.
  • Sales Training/Awareness
  • Oversee development of awareness campaigns, retail, reseller, and implementation of training resources.
  • Oversee account, channel, or vertical specific training.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be accepted
  • Minimum of six years of sales experience with business development is required.
  • Mobile industry and/or consumer goods experience preferred
  • Ability to travel in Canada and United States required (up to 50%).
