DESCRIPTIONInformation Technology Services Product (ITSPnD) team’s mission is to make it easier for Amazonians to improve their productivity inside Amazon. To deliver on this mission, ITSPnD tech team has built an intelligent Connection tooling that uses Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) to pre-empt a customers problem and resolve them without the customer knowing about it. It enables authoring high quality connection between ITSEs and Amazonians regardless of their location or form factor of devices they use.We are looking for a highly motivated, top notch Software Development Manager to lead the team. You will have the opportunity to build, scale and shape the direction of this business. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and strong business judgment. You will be responsible for services that can be deployed globally, delivering an exceptional customer experience, provide thought leadership in a fast-paced development environment, and partner with product management and senior leaders to ensure the success of this program.In this role you will create a strategic and tactical roadmap for the team. You will build mechanisms and balance long term commitments with small fixes to deliver customer value. You will be accountable for your team’s operational excellence and security posture. You will manage your team’s day-to-day development activities using an agile development process. You will hire new engineers, mentor engineers and provide career guidance and growth.If you enjoy dealing with high ambiguity and complexity, join us and together we will create history!BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 4+ years of engineering team management experience
– 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
– 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
– Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
– Experience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
