Join us and design your place with Stantec.Your OpportunityOur Building Specialty Services division has a staff complement of over 200 practitioners involved in various aspects related to building envelope and building science, energy and performance modeling including engineers, architects, EITs, and technologists, with a broad range of experience and capabilities.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAssists in writing proposals and establishing financial budgetsPerforms project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)Assists in the preparation of drawings, specifications and tender documentsAttends pre-construction meetings and document discussionsReviews and reports on project mock-upsPerforms periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action itemsPerforms field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)Assists in small project management and coordinationAssists in building condition assessments, rehab, concrete restoration, and building enclosure related projectsParticipates in continuing educationPerforms various office related tasksQualificationsYour Credentials and CapabilitiesOrganizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projectsAbility to work in a team environmentStrong customer service commitmentExcellent communication and written skills in EnglishProfessional attitude with a strong commitment to succeedStrong work ethicMust have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicleEducation and ExperienceDegree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related fieldMinimum 2 years experience in a similar rolePursuing registration either as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is a plusGeneral knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plusExperience as a Building Envelope Consultant and/or Trade Expert is a plusTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
