What you’ll doNATURE AND SCOPE OF WORKThis is administrative and clerical work in support of Early Childhood Care & Education programs. An incumbent in this position will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and will work closely with the ECCE Program Coordinator, Convenor(s) and Staff. They will be primarily responsible for coordinating the non-academic administrative functions and performing support tasks for the Early Childhood Care & Education Programs in North Vancouver and our regional deliveries (Sunshine Coast, Squamish, etc.). These tasks include, but are not limited to; providing customer service to students, orienting faculty to administrative tasks, preparing and processing budgets and financials, faculty workloads and timetables; tracking student applications identifying applicants ready for admissions review and assisting with promotional and informational activities. This position reports to the Dean and receives direction from the Divisional Supervisor, School of Education & Childhood Studies and School of Allied Health.
What you’ll bringREQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of two years (approximately 60 credits) of post-secondary business education comparable to the Diploma in Business Administration program offered at Capilano University.
  • Two years of directly related administrative support experience, including experience in an educational setting with significant student contact.

The work may include evenings and weekends depending on departmental needs. This position requires commitment of 35 hours per week with 5 days on-campus office work. The incumbent is expected to travel to regional campuses as required.
