We also love dogs and have a fair few in our office!As a Software Development Engineer at Veeqo, you will be designing and building the software to support our journey from recent acquisition to operating at Amazon scale. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, as well as other tech teams across Amazon. This role is a good fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is both creative and technical, and who wants to work near the beautiful beaches of Swansea, Wales.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
– Experience in professional, non-internship software development
– Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
– Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
– Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
– Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systemsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
