UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA) requires an individual information and knowledge management consultant to provide technical assistance to the Gender section with gender-related information and knowledge management, including data analytics and visualization, infographics, PPT development, drafting of strategies, annual reports, concept notes, ToRs and other background documents among other supportive tasks. UNICEF aspires to base gender programming on the latest, most up-to-date data to inform strategy and deliver for adolescent girls and enhance its programmes by creating and learning from sector and programme-specific evidence.

To fine-tune gender interventions in the region, the information and knowledge management consultant will collect, aggregate, analyze and visualize gender thematic data and lead the section on evidence, learning and knowledge management activities, including the running of adolescent girls Community of Practice webinar series, and maintaining the internal Communications and Collaboration SharePoint sites with the lates developments and news. S/he will involve internal and external stakeholder where necessary while collaborating on reporting and documentation of gender results across multiple thematic areas and integrating sound data in strategies, concept notes, programme documents (internal and external facing.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Education:

  • Master’s degree in knowledge management, Gender studies, international development, international affairs, or another relevant discipline.

Work Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience and demonstrated understanding of knowledge management principles and a good understanding of gender issues in the region.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of knowledge management principles and a good understanding of gender issues in the region.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and editing SharePoint sites, and PPTs, and presenting data in a clear, easily understandable way using either Excel, PowerBI, Tableau or other software.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting cases/experiences/lessons learned is required.
  • Ability to link content development and engagement strategies that facilitate timely, useful delivery of information through knowledge platforms and activities.
  • Experience working in South Asian contexts is desirable.
  • Experience in developing and organizing online webinars/workshops would be an asset.
  • Excellent facilitation, program/activity management, written and oral communication skills.
  • Working experience within UNICEF or other UN entities would be an asset.
