This structure enhances connectivity and allows for faster delivery as all resources work together on dedicated tasks.About the role:This position serves as a Software Engineering lead for a specific team of Software Engineers. - Working closely with other Development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs
- Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
- Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
- Completing complex bug fixes, resolving technical issues, and working with complex data models
- Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback
- Providing accurate effort and cost estimates for deliverables
- Encouraging new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations and empowering them to be accountable
- Seeking diverse ideas and perspectives from a variety of sources to create better solutions, products and services
Requirements
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience
- Have the ability to partner with and lead internal and external technology resources to solve business needs
- Have good knowledge of test-driven development/BDD testing Framworks Junit, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin and industry best practices
- Effective monitoring, alerting and visualisation (Kibana, Elasticsearch)
- Have an excellent understanding of data modeling principles, data manipulation languages, and storage systems
- Be an expert in development languages Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka/SQS and Microservices.
- Show an aptitude for achieving business objectives through managing others
- Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, and be able to think analytically
- Be a natural problem solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues
