We have an exciting new opportunity for a Legal Contracts Specialist to support our Legal Team! You will be carrying out both customers and suppliers’ contract reviews independently, alongside drafting customers contracts, such as MSAs, call-off contracts, NDA’s (non-disclosure agreements), etc. You will be responsible for researching and developing reviews for legal and compliance requirements internally, and designing legal training and delivering presentations for new starters and the Sales team. In addition, you will also be provided progressive training so that you are able to manage basic contract drafting.Want to get a foothold in a growing organisation, have excellent attention to detail and keen to develop a career within the in-house legal sector? - Reviewing and drafting NDA’s
- Overseeing the administrative handling of contractual documents and engaging with stakeholders to ensure there is sufficient information (e.g. issue drafts of MSAs (master service agreements)/Call-offs/contract variation/novation deeds etc)
- Revise and update existing contract templates as instructed by Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager.
- Issue Microlise NDAs/carry out first review of third-party NDAs and handle the signature process
- Carry out review of suppliers’ contracts
- Handle the contract termination process from start to finish, establishing a clear proposed strategy, advising on the process and liaising with clients.
- Maintenance of contracts trackers/repository
- Researching and developing reviews of legal and compliance requirements for internal business matters.
- Complete general offices duties such as filing, drafting documents, sending correspondence.
- Work with the Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager to design legal training and deliver presentations, specifically for new starters and Sales team.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrable work experience gained in a Commercial office as a Commercial Law Paralegal / Contract Specialist / Legal Assistant, or similar discipline
- Solid understanding of Commercial Contract Law
- Ability to accurately draft a variety of contract-types, including but not limited to, Master Agreements, Licence Agreements, Supplier, Service-Level and NDA contract-types.
- Provide accurate legal interpretation on main contractual information
- Client focused approach, utilising knowledge and experience, demonstrating outstanding levels of diplomacy and tact
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- A flexible attitude and able to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Willingness to work in a matrix environment and values the importance of teamwork
- Educated to degree-level, preferably in Law or an applicable commercial discipline
