With 3,400 employees in 50 offices, SBS is recognized as a Top 10 European Fintech company by IDC and as a leader in Omdia’s Universe: Digital Banking Platforms.Job DescriptionAt SBS an exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading financial software provider as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, in this role you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Cloud Infrastructure Services through both direct technical contributions along with supporting team member skills development within our Cloud Operations Team.This is a hands-on technical role, the SRE Team provide a key service working within our live production environments, so attention to detail, quality assurance and getting things right first time are essential.Responsibilities:· Working within production and non-production estate; provide expert technical knowledge and leadership.· Resolve incidents escalated to our SRE team, progressing calls in line with customer SLA’s.· Troubleshooting from first principles.· Undertaking Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to ensure suitable permanent solutions are found to remediated issues and solve the whole problem.· Develop, deploy, and maintain our solutions in accordance with industry best practice, and architectural designs.· Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational workflows to improve efficiency using Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery environments.· Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and dashboards to monitor system health, performance, and reliability.· Undertake and drive on-call support issues to conclusion.· Have a passion for mentoring and developing team members. Through this combination of leading by example, coaching and mentoring, support the leadership team to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.QualificationsWe are interested in hearing from you, if you have most of the following attributes:Previous experience working in a Senior SRE or Senior Cloud Engineering role.

  • Expert knowledge and experience of configuration and troubleshooting
  • Expert Knowledge / certification in AWS Administration

Expert Knowledge and experience in the following technologies:o Terraformo Ansibleo Pythono Creating and Troubleshooting Lambda functionso Oracle PLSQLo Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn)We also require candidates to have;· Ability to manage your own workload and provide accurate work estimates.· a meticulous attention to detail and a desire to deliver a best-in-class service to our customers.· proactive and demonstrate a positive attitude towards exploring new and innovative solutions.· Demonstrate continuous learning and a desire to develop your own knowledge.· strong verbal and written communication skills.· Flexibility in working hours and prepared to work on a rolling Out of Hours support rota.If you do not have all of the above experience or skills we would still like to hear from you.As part of our hiring process new employees will be required to pass a confidential consumer credit check and DBS check.
