The duration of this contract is for three years, commencing on May 1st, 2025. The Telfer School is interested in hiring in Auditing and Financial Accounting.Title of Position: Replacement Professor in Auditing and Financial AccountingDuties:Teaching activities include:Coordinate and teach foundational (1st and 2nd year) and advanced (3rd and 4th year) courses in the undergraduate BCom program, and in the CPA Graduate program.Assume leadership of the CPA Graduate program offered in English and French.Contribute to the integration of requirements of various accreditation bodies in course curriculum.Take on a leadership role in integrating in the Telfer CPA program, the new CPA Competency Map and the new CPA Certification program.Academic service activities: The candidate will be an active member of the Accounting and Finance section. • Education: Preference will be given to candidates holding a Ph.D. in Accounting or in a related field.
• Work experience:

• Strong background in auditing in a digital environment.
• Extensive expertise in IFRS, ASPE as well as international and Canadian auditing standards.
• Conversant with risk management policies and procedures.
• Profound knowledge of CPA designation requirements.
• Experience in developing and leading a CPA accredited graduate program.
• Experience in teaching in a CPA graduate program.
• Experience in coordinating advanced courses in accounting and auditing, including data analytics.
• At least 7 years of teaching experience in a business school setting, with courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence in teaching undergraduate large and small class sizes as well as graduate level courses.
• Language: Excellent communication skills in English and French. French-English bilingualism is mandatory.
