Role: Data Architect
Location: Hybrid (Phoenix, AZ – Must be local to Phoenix and be willing to go on-site 3 days a week. )
Duration: 3-6 Months
2 rounds for the interview. 1st – video; 2nd in person**PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Management Experience)**Must be eligible to convert IBM DB2 to GCP MIGRATION!!The Business leaders are in Phoenix and feel it would help the architectwill convert to FTE after 3-6 months as a contractor **PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE OK WITH THIS**

  • Must have Financial Services experience: financial transactions; data flows; design optimization; best practices for building financial services; auditing; control, etc.
  • Healthcare Exp – Huge plus (really almost a requirement)
  • This is a transformation to the cloud. They are moving to GCP.
  • GCP exp is preferred.
  • Current system is IBM/DB2 – any exposure to this would be helpful
  • Must come from large enterprise background.
  • Big Query exp; Must have Postgres
  • Must have Cloud DB exp
  • Oracle
  • Large Data Sets

Position Summary
The Principal Data Architect will be part of a dynamic team that builds and
implements data products serving the Pharmacy Services line of business.
A key to success in this role is a unique blend of data management skills,
business knowledge, and the ability to work with and influence multiple
cross-functional teams within IT and business to identify the right
solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our data
systems, ensuring they align with business goals, driving innovation
through data-driven insights, and establishing a single source of truth for
various data domains. You will collaborate with various teams to design,
implement, and maintain robust data architectures that support our
growing needs.Required Qualifications
? Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data
management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a Principal position.
? Best-in-class technical subject matter expertise and domain knowledge.
? Extensive knowledge of data modeling, data governance, database
design, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data technologies
(e.g., Spark, relational and NoSQL databases).
? Proficiency with data architecture tools and platforms (e.g., ERwin, Kafka,
Redis) and familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google
Cloud).
? Ability to establish a single source of truth for various data domains within
PBM to ensure the availability of clean, accurate, and timely data to PBM
operational systems.
? Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional
teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset,
capable of translating business needs into effective data solutions.
? Ability to collaborate with Digital, IT, EA, Operations, and Security to
deliver solutions.
? Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP,
Agile), including DevSecOps and DataOps.
? Cradle-to-Grave Solution Leadership: Ultimate accountability and
oversight for driving solutions for key strategic initiatives from inception to
completion for a given domain, providing leadership and oversight to
engineers and application architects who are intimately familiar with the
application architectures within their specific domain.
? Provide technology leadership, solution oversight, and guidance to ensure
that the solution adheres to Pharmacy Services Architecture Guiding
Principles and standards while maximizing the reuse of technology and
data assets.Proprietary
Buy vs. Build Analysis: In-depth experience in performing Buy vs. Build
analysis based on qualitative and quantitative assessments across
available options to provide a final recommendation based on rationale.
? Architecture and Design Reviews: Play a key leadership role in
architecture design reviews, identifying gaps and recommending design
changes. Actively lead and participate in the architecture community to
drive modernization opportunities for the advancement of PBM technology
while considering the complexities of our IT landscape.
? Develop Reference Architecture and Implementation: Provide leadership,
coaching, and guidance to Application Development, Technology
Services, Solutions, and Enterprise Architecture to develop/assemble
PBM-applicable information reference architectures for PBM data
domains.
? Proof of Concept Technology Support: Lead and drive proofs-of-concept
and technology deep-dives specific to partner technologies.
? “Roll Up Your Sleeves and Help Clear Technical Roadblocks”: Advise and
assist application development teams with technical roadblocks, such as
performance challenges within solutions for key strategic initiatives.
? Cost Optimization Identification: Engage with appropriate stakeholders to
recommend or assess opportunities to drive cost efficiencies aimed at
simplicity, configurability, and the eventual elimination of technical debt
associated with Pharmacy Services applications.Soft Skills:

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the PBM industry and relevant certification (e.g., CDMP) are
a plus.
