Please see below to learn more about this great summer opportunity.As ATB’s next ATB 101 Regulatory Compliance Student, you will play an integral role in the success of our business and have the opportunity to contribute greatly to our growth with challenging, rewarding and diverse opportunities.AccountabilitiesReporting to the Managing Director, Regulatory Compliance, this role will be responsible for supporting the Regulatory Compliance team including being actively involved in various regulatory assignments including:
- Regulatory projects
- Assessment of compliance and privacy risks
- Internal and external reporting to senior management and regulators
- Research emerging risks and support implementation of legislative or regulatory changes
- Assist with ad hoc strategic projects
- Regulatory and privacy compliance governance and oversight at ATB Financial
Skills, experience & requirements
- Enrolment in post-secondary or university in the areas of business, law, or a related field.
- Proactivity: thinks ahead and offers suggestions on how ATB can do things better.
- Ability to stand up, speak out, and identify opportunities for change.
- Eagerness to roll up your sleeves and take on (and seek out) new challenges.
- Communication/interpersonal skills: look for students who can engage people across the organization and at all levels within ATB.
- An innovative, digital and entrepreneurial growth mindset.
- Be able to effectively prioritize and manage your time well.
- Computer/technological skills: look for someone who is technologically savvy and has experience working with different tools and systems (Google Suites).
- Adaptability: candidates should be resilient in front of change and have the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new situations/environments
- Willingness to learn: look for someone who is willing to learn, asks questions, and shows an interest in regulatory compliance
- Be humble and confident. We encourage you to put your hand up and ask for help, when needed. After all, we are all united in our goal of customer obsession.
- A curious mind, a person that is always asking why but is able to balance that with strong execution.
