The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Assistant to support the development of the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs program for SEASTAR CHEMICALS ULC. The successful candidates will utilize experience in chemistry and regulatory affairs to ensure that all SEASTAR CHEMICALS ULC labels, safety documentation and departments meet all regulatory requirements.This is a full-time position based in the Sidney BC.What we’re looking for:

  • B.Sc. in Chemistry is preferred, but a bachelor’s degree in related field with chemistry requirements will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in QA/RA, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability (Those necessary to perform the job competently):

  • Strong MS Excel knowledge and computer literacy (in addition advanced skills in MS Office, CorelDraw, website design, or database management are an asset).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Quality Assurance approval of CofAs, product naming protocols and lot number generation
  • Updating Standard Operating Procedures and safety documentation
  • Assist with the development of CofA formats, analytical data reporting procedures, specifications, and labels
  • Assist with the assurance that all labels and safety documentation meet all regulatory requirements
  • Assist with technical marketing literature and presentations
  • Assist Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager with technical service
  • Follow existing guidelines and suggest changes where necessary to ensure a safe work environment
  • Flexibility to support our lab group as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager
