Adoc Talent Management is recruiting a Sales Manager (M/F) for its client. Our client is a startup revolutionizing in silico approaches in drug discovery by creating a digital twin of the cell, using a combination of breakthrough technologies at the crossroads of artificial intelligence, systems engineering, and single-cell multi-omics data analysis. Collaborating with leaders in the pharmaceutical sector and top academic laboratories in the field, and following a successful funding round, the company is now strengthening its team by hiring a Sales Manager (M/F).PositionAs a Sales Manager (M/F), you will drive growth and expand the client base by generating leads and fostering relationships across academia, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. With a strong focus on the client’s flagship software, Cell BluePrint (CBP), you will identify opportunities to position the platform as a key solution for drug discovery, repurposing, and cell-level insights. This role combines strategic lead generation, client engagement, and revenue development to ensure the platform’s adoption and position the startup as a trusted partner in the single-cell and AI-driven life sciences ecosystem.Your responsibilities will include identifying and prioritizing academic institutions, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical organizations aligned with Cell Blueprint. You will research potential leads to understand their research needs, R&D priorities, and software requirements, while proactively generating and qualifying leads through targeted outreach, trade shows, conferences, and digital platforms. Developing tailored messaging and pitches to showcase the unique value of Cell Blueprint and managing leads throughout every stage of the sales funnel will ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.You will schedule and lead presentations, demos, and meetings with researchers, decision-makers, and stakeholders, serving as a trusted partner by understanding client needs, offering customized software demonstrations, and presenting use cases that align with their goals. Attending life sciences events will help establish connections and maintain a visible industry presence. You will also foster long-term relationships with clients to create opportunities for repeat business and referrals.In collaboration with internal teams, you will prepare proposals, pricing strategies, and terms that resonate with client objectives. Tracking and maintaining sales activities using CRM tools, you will provide regular updates on lead status and pipeline progress, while offering insights and feedback to business, product, and marketing teams to refine Cell Blueprint and align with evolving market needs.Finally, you will identify emerging opportunities to position Cell Blueprint for academic research, drug discovery, or therapeutic development, and analyze competitive landscapes to ensure the startup maintains a differentiated value proposition in the life sciences ecosystem.ProfileYou hold a PhD in biological sciences (computational biology, bioinformatics, cellular biology, or a related field) and have a strong understanding of the life science market and drug discovery research workflows within the pharmaceutical industry. You bring significant experience in selling innovative software solutions and services that advance biological insights and therapeutic discovery.You have at least 2 years of experience in lead generation, sales, or business development, ideally within the biotech, pharma, or academic sectors. You possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. You are proficient in managing sales pipelines and CRM tools, and have a proven track record of achieving measurable results. You are also willing to travel across Europe and occasionally to other regions for client meetings and industry events. Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of a second language is highly preferred.This role requires a dynamic, driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to advancing innovation in the life sciences.It’s a plus if:

  • You have knowledge of omics data, particularly single-cell technologies.
  • You are experienced in working with life science software companies.
  • You have a strong academic network and are familiar with public research funding support.
  • You can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
