This regional role covers various responsibilities within the North American Treasury Center of Excellence (COE), including cash management (backup to Cash Manager), equipment lease administration, oversight of merchant services, Treasury controls, audit support, Know Your Customer (KYC) and other projects or analytics to support the Treasury Manager and/or Treasury Director.Key Responsibilities:
Cash management activities (occasional, in back-up capacity):
- Ensure adequate operating liquidity by monitoring daily wire activity, deposit flows, loan payments, and investment cash flows. Prepare daily reports for Treasury and Finance teams.
- Coordinate daily investment/borrowing decision and related actions. Confirm application of negotiated rates for investments and borrowing activities.
- Manage wire transfer approval process, including initiating wires, maintaining bank templates and posting completed transactions to accounting system.
- Research, resolve or respond to a wide variety of inquiries and issues from across the organization related to bank transactions, entitlements, products or services.
- Promote a strong Treasury control environment to ensure continuous compliance with Treasury policies and procedures, and minimize risk of fraud.
- Support the ongoing implementation of the Kyriba TMS. Multiple modules still to be implemented including cash forecasting, cash pooling/interco loans, debt, etc.
Equipment lease administration:
- Ownership role in the company-wide administration of equipment lease financing.
- Maintain a centralized repository of leased assets, terms and conditions, rental obligations, critical dates and other information in the Kyriba Lease Module; archive lease contacts and documentation.
- Generate monthly payments per contract for all equipment leases from the Kyriba TMS and coordinate upload of accounting entries to Oracle Cloud.
- Produce reporting for variance analysis and cash forecasting.
- Manage new lease documentation, early buyout/termination and end-of-lease decisioning processes with associated operating areas.
- Research, investigate, escalate and/or resolve lease-related issues and ensure appropriate action.
- Play lead role in conducting annual RFP process to negotiate and allocate lease financing needs to lease financing providers (lessors).
Treasury Product/Service Administration and General Support:
- Resolve day-to-day issues related to proper functioning of merchant services programs; contribute analytics to monthly Treasury reporting deck. Lead/support upcoming RFP process to award mandate to a new provider.
- Support Treasury Manager and Treasury Director with ad hoc projects, implementations, financial analysis, problem resolution and other activities.
Audit, Treasury Controls, SOX and KYC Support:
- Primary responsibility for responding to requests for information to support external and internal audits, compliance with Corporate Treasury controls, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.
- Primary responsibility for responding to Know Your Customer (KYC) requests from banking partners.
Experience & Education
- BA/BS degree from an accredited institution in finance, accounting or economics.
- Minimum 5 years of cash management experience required.
- CTP designation strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical expertise with treasury systems (Treasury workstations, bank portals, etc).
- Knowledge of treasury and banking industry in US and Canada required.
- Basic knowledge of payment systems (US: check clearing, ACH, card networks, Fedwire and CHIPS; Canada: LVTS, ACSS; Int’l: SWIFT).
- MS-Office proficient with excellent Excel modelling skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Highly organized and detail orientated.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate ability to type minimum of 35 words per minute.
