ABOUT THE ROLEWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work as part of a small maintenance team in handling routine maintenance activities throughout the hotel and estate.Working at Leckford, you will get to work in a beautiful location with some of the best views and countryside around. You’ll be working on a rota basis allowing you time to take advantage of the benefits.Working in the hotel, you’ll be surrounded by a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality Partners to give our guests the best experience whether they are with us for the day or a longer stay. As co-owners in the business, you’ll see this difference in the way your teammates and you approach your job and carry out your responsibilities..Salary – £24,400.00 – 32,500.00Contract type – This position is a Permanent contract.Working pattern – 37.5 hours per week. A mix of shifts on a rota basis – Earliest start time 7:30 – Latest finish time 6pm. Alternate weekendsLocation – This role is based at our Leckford Hotel & Estate.Key responsibilitiesProven competency in one or more of the following trades: Joinery, Carpentry, Plastering, Plumbing, Metalwork, Decorating, Drainage, Tiling, and Flooring.A good knowledge of tools and equipment required for the rolePhysical agility/ dexterityExceptional hand-eye coordination targeted at handling maintenance issues in a proactive mannerExperience of working with trades and/or techniciansExperience in fault finding and resolving issuesEssential skills/experience you’ll needCity and Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 or NVQ equivalent18th edition IEE wiring regulations certificateFull and clean driving licence with minimum 3 years experienceAn understanding in the operation and maintenance of the following: BMS systems:air conditioning and heating systemsdomestic hot and cold water serviceslow voltage electrical distribution to include lighting, powerand data communicationfire protection /detection/alarm systemswater treatment and monitoringstandby generators and UPS systemsmechanical handling equipmentTo hold relevant city and guilds qualification or can demonstrate proven competency in one or more of the following trades: Joinery, carpentry, plumbing, metalwork, drainage, Tiling, flooring or wet trades.Good standard of PC usage to maintain straight forward records and communicationDesirable skills/experience you may haveFood Hygiene Level 1City and Guilds in mechanical discipline or NVQ 6018 Heating and ventilation industrial and commercial installationsAbout Leckford:Within the beautiful Hampshire countryside sits the picturesque Leckford Estate. 4000 acres containing our Farm, Farmshop, Plant Nursery, award-winning Water Gardens and our holiday escapes; Leckford Abbas and Leckford Lodges & Camping.At the Lodges & Camping, our guests can relax in one of our fully furnished Lodges, get the ‘glamping’ experience in our Safari Tents or take advantage of one of our Ready Pitched Tents.The Lodges & camping give our guests freedom, they can come and go as they please.
