We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR colleague to join our team and embark on an exciting journey!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Technician to join our team! In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. If you have a strong understanding of payroll systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply and become a key contributor to our success.

  • Update payroll and HR data in Workday, finalize offboarding files, and ensure data integrity;
  • Respond to questions and requests from team members and external organizations regarding payroll and Human Resources data;
  • Manage the daily operations of business entities using Time and Labor, develop communications with operators, and make exception corrections;
  • Analyze and process payroll-related journal entries;
  • Process source deduction remittances as needed and issue Records of Employment;
  • Distribute the workload among the various technicians;
  • Provide support to the payroll manager and act as a replacement during their absences.

QualificationsTo join our team, you will need, among other things:

  • A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience;
  • Knowledge of Workday or another payroll system, and a strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables;
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Canada;
  • Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association or completion of some courses (asset).
