Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead our quality management initiatives and teams at our state-of-the-art manufacturing and machining facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing quality assurance and quality control processes, ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional people skills, and a deep understanding of machining measurement methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees and first-level managers performing management activities across multiple Quality Management Job Families.

  • Develop and execute business plans, policies, and procedures while creating organizational and technical strategies to enhance quality performance.

  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality System to team members and stakeholders.

  • Acquire and manage resources effectively, leading process improvements and quality initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports.

  • Monitor production processes and quality metrics, making adjustments as necessary to maintain compliance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate records of quality data, including non-conformance reports and corrective action plans.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Technical Competencies:

  • AS9100 Knowledge: Possess a true understanding of AS9100 requirements and their application in manufacturing processes.

  • Machining Measurement Methods: Ideally have a background in machining measurement methods to ensure precision and quality in production.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing or machining environment, preferably in aerospace.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees and first-level managers.

  • Excellent people skills to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

  • Proficiency in quality management systems and tools, including statistical process control and root cause analysis.

  • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality control standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
