  • Assists with the oversight of comprehensive logistics planning and support for a broad system, program or functional area.
  • Perform life cycle logistics functions for the acquisition of EW systems/capabilities from concept and design through research and development, production, transfer, and disposal.
  • Manage acquisition logistics support during pre-production phases by monitoring changes in test schedules, material acquisition, support equipment availability, and maintenance manpower.
  • Assists with oversight of space utilization and warehousing actions for all storage locations, including open and covered storage, whether organizationally owned or leased.
  • Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies appropriate laws, guidelines, and regulations pertaining to supply and acquisition logistics tasks.

  • This Job Opportunity Announcement (JOA) will be used to form a pool of qualified applicants who will be considered for direct hire vacancies as they become available.
  • Teams with Program Managers and Logisticians to provide test support of all ACAT levels of acquisition and test programs.
  • Uses organic and contractor resources in support of test to influence design and development of systems and procedures and ensures logistics considerations are addressed.
  • The employee must, within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually, thereafter, file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
  • This position requires a top secret and possibly SCI security clearances as well as possible clearances with special access programs.
  • The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate valid driver’s license will be required for this position.

QualificationsFor additional information on direct hire opportunities with the Air Force please click .In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located .GENERAL EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify at the NH-02 level, applicants must have at least three (3) years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4. General experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to: * Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;

  • Plan and organize work; and
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled.OREDUCATION: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degreeSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify at the NH-03 level, applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes thorough knowledge of the principles of logistics management and/or strategic planning, execution, management, and sustainment actions.Desired Skills:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Broad knowledge of the theories and principles of Logistics Management, Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) and/or Strategic planning, execution, management and sustainment actions as they relate to Developmental Test and Evaluation.
2. Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, test program requirements and work methods.
3. Expert knowledge and ability to identify problems and develop innovative solutions. Ability to organize and lead special study teams and task forces with members of different organizations. Ability to review, analyze and develop timely and economical solutions to logistics, maintenance or engineering problems. Strong ability to gather, analyze, organize, and present data and supporting analyses.
4. Knowledge of and ability to research and apply procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise in the work of the unit (such as engineering, accounting, supply, maintenance, etc), including the ability to maintain credibility with others on technical matters.
5. Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and precedents affecting logistics. Knowledge of major issues, program goals, work operations and managerial channels of organizations involved in logistics programs.
6.
