We value user experience and ensure we’re supporting people in making hiring decisions with intelligence they can trust.The Senior Manager, Research is a recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME) and responsible for all research delivery to generate executive thought leadership for externally facing audiences as part of the AMS Research Lab through a philosophy of innovation, strategic thinking and competitive intelligence. The Senior Manager, Research will be responsible for selecting strategic topics of interest, leading voice, empirical and primary research activity with support from the Researcher Support team and leverage aggregated AMS enterprise data to design, write, and publish impactful, strategic whitepaper reports. The Senior Manager, Research will lead research delivery on complex, global topics as part of the Global AMS Research Agenda and manage a small team of Senior Researchers.Does this sound like you, then we would like to talk to you!Key AccountabilitiesYou’ll support our success by:

  • Operationalize Research Lab Strategy Roadmap – support execution of the Research Lab value proposition, including supporting the deployment of strategic roadmaps for Global Research strategy (eg global research agenda, data club content, AMS benchmarking, labour market commentary, etc)
  • Subject Matter Expertise – recognized SME in global markets, sources and trends, identifying key metrics which require deep dive in the report analysis e.g. supply & demand; pay rates; skill sets; candidate behaviour; current redundancies or other drivers in the market which may have an impact on client’s recruitment strategy
  • Continuous Improvement & Evolution – lead deployment of innovative, new research methodologies and engagement strategies to elevate research publications and enhance AMS research voice in external market
  • AMS Connectivity – facilitate and drive collaboration between Research Lab to partner with I&I Insights teams and Digital Products to develop strategic, targeted, and data-powered research leveraging AMS aggregate data for the external market
  • Advanced Analytical Insights – delivery of actionable insights through the application of advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics, enhancing AMS’s capability to identify patterns and predict future outcomes
  • Lead and conduct research, visualization, and presentation of regular strategic, impactful thematic research reports on current and future trends with unique thought leadership to support strategic decision making
  • Working in partnership with I&I Insights Production Managers and Data Strategy to build and foster a culture of consistent qualitative and quantitative research standards in operational delivery (e.g. primary research, voice research, and analysing aggregate datasets from Data Club members or external sources)
  • Support the Research Lab leadership team in setting strategic direction for the AMS Global Research Agenda, supporting the overall continuous improvement and elevation of I&I delivery to both internal and external stakeholders

Skills & ExperienceYou’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Strong, demonstratable understanding of Research Methodology, Data Analytics, Whitepaper Publishing, Talent Acquisition and RPO, including subject matter expertise in Data Analysis, Insights, and Market Research Tools & Technology
  • Proven track record of conducting and delivering strategic, impactful market research and competitor insights in whitepaper or similar content in client-facing environment or similar
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to use PowerPoint and other presentation media
  • Demonstratable, strong written proficiency and executive writing skills of compelling summaries, commentary or whitepaper similar, aimed at an external, client or executive audience
  • Strong specialist knowledge in a current or potential region, industry or market topic
  • Continuous improvement and innovation led mindset – ability to identify whitespace, areas of opportunity or improvement. Intellectually curious when it comes to service improvement to deliver and evolve the service
  • Demonstrated ability to build a position as a trusted advisor internally and externally
  • Team Leadership- Experience in leading small teams, contributing to the team’s overall success and growth.
  • Ability to deliver results within a complex, matrixed environment, through driving performance across indirect reports and structures
  • Prior experience of leading or managing a research or insights team
  • Experience with commoditizing / commercialising research or supporting or consulting on growth, business development and/or sales opportunities e.g., RFP and Pitch Activity
