Job title: Engineering ManagerOffice location with Hybrid working: Hammersmith, LondonAbout the role and the Team:Reporting into the Software Development Director, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with expertise in modern frontend development to lead the design, development, and operation of our user-facing applications. This role combines technical leadership, product ownership, and team management, focusing on building intuitive, high-performance, and scalable solutions.The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Vue.js, Nuxt, and event-driven architecture (EDA) using Kafka, as well as a passion for mentoring developers and driving technical excellence.What will you be doing?
- Facilitate Kanban practices, including feature refinement, flow management, and regular feedback loops to optimize team performance.
- Empower teams by removing impediments and creating an environment conducive to high performance and collaboration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize work, manage risks, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Promote Agile principles and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Facilitate team events and discussions to improve communication, transparency,and delivery effectiveness.
- Monitor and enhance team workflows to ensure consistent delivery and alignment with organizational standards.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field – Desirable
- Telecoms experience
- Experience with Jira for issue tracking
- Deep expertise in Kanban or Scrum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically, provide practical solutions, and make sound decisions in complex and evolving product and customer journey environments.
- Strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to build and motivate teams, manage change, hold people to account and drive a culture of customer and product focus.
