Medical Assistant/ScribeGranger Medical Clinic has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe at our West Valley location.Overview:Our Center for Breast Care in West Valley is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe to join our team. The MA/Scribe is an integral part of the healthcare team, to provide patients with an exceptional experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent grammar and writing skills, ability to multi-task, adapt to change and handle all patient interactions with compassion and professionalism.Excellent customer service skills – able to communicate courteously and effectively to patients.Typing / keyboarding skills, 40 wpm.Basic arithmetic, computer and analytical skills.Must be dependable, flexible, and multi-task oriented.Enjoy working with people, being a team player and willing to help others with tasks.Must be able to read, communicate and write well in English.Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff and patients.Additional languages helpful.Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Prepare in advance required information for patient visits
  • Convey patient intake information to radiologist, accompany provider during patient exam when needed
  • Assist radiologist in generating reports
  • Accurately transcribes information into all systems
  • Helps patient throughput to increase efficiencies
  • Precisely & efficiently order/schedule/transmits authorized recommended imaging
  • Assist provider with educating patients on proposed plan, procedure instructions and more
  • Return patient phone calls in a timely manner
  • Scheduling appointments in accordant with established procedures
  • Adequately document all patient interactions in electronic medical record
  • Assists team/radiologist with procedures
  • Instruct patients on after-care instructions and follow up plan when needed
  • Gives patient normal screening results
  • Cover PSR when applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent1 year experience in a breast care or radiology setting is a plusExperience with direct patient interaction preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Physical work; assisting with patient transfers and wheelchair transport.Repetitive motion associated with transporting patients, operating a computer and other office equipmentInside, climate-controlled working conditions as well as outside, possible all weather conditions.Granger Medical Clinic offers competitive wages and excellent benefits. The salary range listed is the base salary range offered for this position.
