Job Description

Are you ready to create insightful data visualizations and contribute to the evolution of a modern data platform? We are looking for a proactive Senior Data Analyst to join our innovative Institutional Retirements Data Delivery team. This role is key to delivering insightful analysis and supporting informed business decision-making through high-quality data visualizations with ownership of the end to end reporting lifecycle including engineering and data modelling responsibilities.

As an essential member of the team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data delivery, and governance, to ensure the reliability and performance of our data solutions. You will execute processes and controls in line with the data strategy and contribute to its continuous improvement.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Leading a team of analysts, guiding project scope, design, approach, and technical delivery
    • Understanding data systems and structures within the business, contributing to improvements
    • Advocating for data visualization best practices, ensuring high-standard outputs
    • Developing efficient processes for deliverables using code and visualization tools
    • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of regular reports, designing automated processes
    • Satisfying ad hoc data and visualization requirements from internal customers
    • Leading stakeholder management and issue resolution, providing advice and guidance
    • Implementing governance, reporting, and escalation of changes impacting customers

    Qualifications

    Who we’re looking for:

    • Degree in a technical or numerate field or equivalent experience
    • Strong analytical skills with specialization in data visualization
    • Experience in leading and coaching team members to improve performance
    • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
    • Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation with high volumes of data
    • Proficiency in creating dashboards with tools like Tableau or PowerBI
    • Experience in data manipulation and transformation using SQL
    • Previous experience in finance is beneficial
