Ocean Import/Export Coordinator – Freight Forwarding📍 Location: Pointe-Claire, QC | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home)Inner Circle Agency is hiring an Ocean Import/Export Coordinator for a leading freight forwarding company . This role is ideal for a logistics professional with experience in ocean freight operations, import/export coordination, and client service . If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at problem-solving, this could be the right opportunity for you.What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinate FCL/LCL import and export ocean freight operations.
• Maintain daily communication with overseas agents, steamship lines, truckers, customs brokers, warehouses, CBSA, and Port Authorities.
• Track and trace shipments, ensuring timely and accurate updates for clients.
• Handle all required documentation (SWB, CERS, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Manifests, E-Manifests, DG Docs).
• Negotiate rates with carriers and provide competitive quotes.
• Ensure client SOPs are followed and maintained.
• Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries with shippers, consignees, and truckers.
• Work closely with the sales team on client relationships, quotations, and business development.
• Verify OBL and payment requirements before shipment release.
• Complete invoicing , obtain PODs, and close files efficiently.
• Take initiative in resolving shipping challenges and managing urgent requests.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field .
• Knowledge of ocean freight import/export regulations .
• Ideally: Bilingual (French & English) – written and spoken. Must have a understanding of French, although not a 100% deal breaker if not
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) .
• Experience with CargoWise (an asset) .
• CIFFA & DGR Certification (an asset) .
