Students will be exposed to theoretical and practical applications of building Life Cycle Assessment, building daylight and energy models, and post-occupancy analysis through case studies of the 10 U of T buildings. Students will engage with the principals and evaluative criteria of Life Cycle Assessment Theory, Whole Building Life Cycle Assessment, Whole Life Carbon Assessment, Post-Occupancy Analysis, and Operational Energy Analysis.Class Schedule:L0101 – Monday 9:00-12:00Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025Estimate of the course enrolment: Approximately 15-20 studentsSalary: Co-Sessional Lecturer I – $4,728.95; Co-Sessional Lecturer I Long Term – $4,965.40; Co-Sessional Lecturer II – $5,060.89; Co-Sessional Lecturer II Long Term – $5,163.31; Co-Sessional Lecturer III – $5,181.38; Co-Sessional Lecturer III Long Term – $5,285.01 (inclusive of vacation pay)Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications: M.Arch degree or other Graduate degree in Architecture preferredPreferred Qualifications: Academic and professional expertise in the field of Building Science: Life Cycle Assessment, Carbon Assessment, Post-Occupancy Analysis, and Operational Energy Analysis.Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions, and student contact hours.Application Submission: To apply, please complete the Daniels and submit a curriculum vitae to the Daniels Selection Committee at .Closing Date: 06/26/2024, 11:59PM EDT
